Santa's to visit Redesdale
Santa’s Christmas walkabout proved to be a resounding success again this year. He was delighted to see so many happy smiling faces of all ages, everyone waving furiously at him as he walked through the roads of Redesdale.
With his helpers, Santa delivered presents to lots of children in the area and there were treats for some of our older residents also. Did anyone spot the reindeer riding around on a Honda 50?
You may have spotted the results of some of our committee member’s work tidying up an area of Mullen’s Field including green verges. The grass verges on Anville Drive were also tidied up. You can see photos and a video on our Facebook page.
While on the subject, it’s time for a Spring Clean! Please join your neighbour’s on Saturday 8th May for our community clean-up event. It’s an opportunity to show pride in our area and tidy up communal spaces. There will be a manned collection point at the Rock area by Mullen’s Field (Large Green) on the day, where you can collect DLRCOCO Blue Bags for non-green waste. A limited number of gardening gloves and pickers will also be available.
Absolutely NO GREEN WASTE nor HOUSEHOLD WASTE can be bagged, such waste to be disposed of in the usual manner in Brown / Green bins.
All social distancing guidelines will be adhered to so please participate in this community initiative to tidy up Redesdale Garden Estate.
THANKS to the residents who are picking up litter, bottles and cans left in Mullen’s field following impromptu gatherings. We appeal to the people involved to bring their litter home.
